Original Penguin Presents Mixtape “We Are What You Wear For The Good Times”
The ultimate house party, that is the concept behind Mixtape, the latest Original Penguin collection for Spring 2018. The name of course brings out retro memories and references different points from the 1980’s, 1990’s and 2000’s. The collection also shows this, by using athletic inspired pieces that were all the rage in the 80’s as well as more casual pieces, very in line with the 90’s.
For its campaign, Original Penguin features New York-based band AJR, which also collaborated on a music video for their song “Come Hang Out”.
Original Penguin’s philosophy of juxtaposing different styles from different decades mirrors the way AJR write and produce their music. The result was a mix of elements from different genres that ultimately created a fun and original collection; something to wear for the good times.
