Inspirado fuertemente en la arquitectura barroca de Suecia y el streetstyle de la juventud de Estocolmo, Andreas Gran celebra la evolución de esta nación, misma que se vió representada a lo largo de la colección Tiger of Sweden SS17.
La pasarela abrió con recargados prints que celebraban el maximalismo del barroco, pero que a detalle revelaban motivos de naturaleza, en bomber jackets, trajes de corte moderno y rompevientos.
Los cortes en las prendas tienen un balance entre amplias bermudas por debajo de la rodilla, y chaquetas o blazers ajustados, así como también dosifican los estampados, neutralizándolos con prendas en colores tierra sólidos.
Hay elementos clásicos y masculinos que juegan con siluetas y prints comúnmente utilizados en prendas femeninas, como el animal print y playeras de tirantes que simulan piezas halter.
La frase THIRD CULTURE se asoma a través de la colección, haciendo referencia a como Suecia se inspiró en otras culturas europeas para la construcción de su identidad, formando así una segunda cultura, a la cual le sigue esta tercera que es la que Gran interpreta de diversos elementos.
Inspired heavily in the baroque architecture of Sweden and the streetstyle of youngsters from Stockholm, Andreas Gran celebrates the evolution of this great nation, which was represented throughout the Tiger of Sweden SS17 collection.
The runway opened with ornate prints celebrating baroque maximalism, but revealed nature motifs when looked in detal. Such prints were seen in bomber jackets, modern cut suits and windbreakers . The cuts in the garments have a balance between large Bermuda shorts below the knee, and tight jackets or blazers, as well dosed prints, neutralizing them with garments in solid ground colors.
There are classic and masculine elements playing with silhouettes and prints commonly used in women’s clothes, such as animal prints and shirts that simulate halter blouses.
The phrase THIRD CULTURE can be seen through the collection, referring to how Sweden was inspired by other European cultures to build their identity, thus forming a second culture, which is followed by a third one, the one in Gran’s mix of different elements.
