La elegancia silenciosa del Capataz, figura omnipresente en los cafetales, fue la fuente de inspiración para la colección del diseñador Carlos Campos FW16.
Este hombre es un viajero que regresa cada temporada al campo a revisar su cosecha y así poder venderla en la ciudad. Un personaje metódico, elegante y sofisticado. Esta idea se plasmó a la perfección en la colección del diseñador hondureño al mostrar piezas utilitarias como capas militares, bomber jackets con bolsas cargo y abrigos cruzados, que cuentan la historia de nuestro hombre viajero, manteniendo una increíble atención al detalle y una sofisticada construcción.
La paleta de colores fue sencilla y minimalista enfocándose en el camello; el color del café ligeramente tostado; así como en el característico azul marino de la marca y el blanco. Las texturas fueron de suma importancia para esta colección y vimos piezas con acabados de lana cepillada y pana que le dieron practicidad sin dejar atrás la sensación de lujo y sofisticación.
Una colección llena de piezas que demuestran poder y confianza, y que sin duda colocan a Carlos Campos como el diseñador con una de las propuestas más fuertes dentro de NYFWM para la siguiente temporada otoño invierno y una de nuestras colecciones favoritas de la semana de la moda masculina en Nueva York.
The quiet elegance of the Foreman, that omnipresent figure in coffee plantations, was the inspiration behind the Carlos Campos FW16 collection.
This man is a traveler who returns each season to check the coffee crops so he can sell them in the city. He is a methodical, elegant and sophisticated character. This idea was developed to perfection in the collection of the Honduran designer by showing utilitarian pieces like military capes, cargo bomber jackets and double-breasted coats, which tell the story of our traveling man, while keeping incredible attention to detail and a sophisticated construction.
The color palette was simple and minimalist focusing on the camel; the color of lightly roasted coffee; as well as the brand’s signature deep navy and white. The textures were substantial to this collection and we saw pieces with brushed wool and cotton velveteen which gave practicality without leaving behind the luxurious and sophisticated feel
A collection full of pieces that demonstrate power and confidence, and that certainly placed Carlos Campos as the designer with one of the strongest proposals within NYFWM for the next autumn-winter season and also as one of our favorite collections of the menswear fashion week in New York.
