Steve McQueen y la película de 1971, On Any Sunday del director Bruce Brown fueron la inspiración principal de la colección Belstaff SS17. Al igual que la película, la colección celebra la actitud despreocupada de un grupo de motociclistas y toma como referencia piezas de archivo de la marca británica de la misma era, reforzando e innovando piezas icónicas de piel como el Trialmaster y el Roadmaster.
El color juega un papel muy importante esta temporada, ya que en los años sesentas algunas marcas de ropa para motociclistas empezaron a jugar y experimentar con procesos para teñir la piel, logrando así que los pilotos pudieran personalizar sus uniformes, diferenciándolos de sus competidores.
La presentación de Belstaff SS17 que se llevó a cabo en el Queen Elizabeth II Centre, en frente de Westminster Abbey, incluyo también algunos looks de la colección de mujer, celebrando así a personalidades como Amelia Earhart, Amy Johnson, Kate Moss y Liv Tyler que han usado la marca en sus mas de 90 años de existencia.

Like the film, the collection celebrates the carefree attitude of a group of motorcyclists and references archive pieces of the British brand from the same era, strengthening and innovating iconic leather pieces like the Trialmaster and the Roadmaster.
Color plays an important role this season, mainly because in the sixties some motorcycle apparel brands began to play and experiment with processes for dyeing leather, allowing the riders to better customize their uniforms, differentiating them from their competitors.
The Belstaff SS17 presentation was held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, opposite Westminster Abbey, and also included some looks from the women’s collection, celebrating personalities like Amelia Earhart, Amy Johnson, Kate Moss and Liv Tyler who have used the brand in its 90 years of existence.
Some of our favorite pieces included the Enduro jacket, inspired by the original color block Belstaff jackets manufactured in 1970 and the Romero, inspired by the jacket worn by the legendary motorcyclist Gene Romero in the film On Any Sunday.
