Dockers: An Icon Turns 30
Febrero es un mes importante para la moda masculina, ya que marca el cierre de las semanas de la moda dedicadas al menswear, pero también es el mes en que un icono del estilo masculino celebra su muy merecido aniversario: la marca Dockers cumple 30 años este 2016.
Mucho ha cambiado en estas décadas pero el estilo clásico de la marca sigue vigente. Aun con muchas innovaciones en su historial, el compromiso por ser un destino para cualquier situación de vida de un hombre sigue intacto.
Para empezar con las celebraciones, Dockers junto con el CFDA (The Council of Fashion Designers of America), fueron los anfitriones de la fiesta DOCKERS: AN ICON TURNS 30 que dio inicio a New York Fashion Week: Men’s. La premisa no podría ser mejor: la icónica marca Americana sería la encargada de dar el banderazo para una semana llena de propuestas de muchos diseñadores Americanos. Además de esto, Dockers se encargaría de impulsar nuevos talentos al ser patrocinador de Platform 3, un espacio dedicado a diseñadores emergentes.
La estrella de la noche fue Mia Moretti, quién fue la DJ encargada de abrir la fiesta aunque también pudimos ver a una interesante mezcla de celebridades, diseñadores, modelos, bloggers, personalidades del mundo de la moda y de la vida nocturna neoyorquina.
Algunos de los invitados fueron el modelo y actor Tyson Beckford; el jugador de los New York Giants, Victor Cruz; el jugador de los New York Jets, Eric Decker y su esposa Jessie James Decker, los modelos Sean O’Pry, Johannes Huebl, Barrett Pall, Nyle Di Marco y el blogger Matthias Geerts
February is an important month for men’s fashion, as it marks the end of the fashion weeks dedicated to menswear, but it is also the month when a male style icon celebrates its well-deserved anniversary: the Dockers brand turns 30 this 2016.
Much has changed over the decades but the classic style of the brand remains. Even with many innovations in its history, the commitment to be a destination for any life situation of a man is still intact.
To begin with the celebrations, Dockers along with the CFDA (The Council of Fashion Designers of America) were the hosts of the DOCKERS: AN ICON TURNS 30 party that started New York Fashion Week: Men’s. The premise could not be better: the iconic American brand would be responsible to jumpstart a week full of proposals of many American designers. Besides this, Dockers was responsible for promoting new talent by being the sponsor of Platform 3, a space dedicated to emerging designers.
The star of the evening was Mia Moretti, the DJ responsible for getting the party started but we also saw an interesting mix of celebrities, designers, models, bloggers, and celebrities from the fashion world and the New York nightlife.
Some of the guests were the model and actor Tyson Beckford; New York Giants Victor Cruz; New York Jets Eric Decker and his wife Jessie James Decker, models Sean O’Pry, Johannes Huebl, Barrett Pall, Nyle Di Marco and blogger Matthias Geerts.
