A TRIPLE THREAT
To move is to live and to live is to move.
When life is good, they say it’s Gucci. And if you add Adidas to it, then I guess it’s something between perfection and duuuh!, PER-FEC-TION. To celebrate the launch of the #adidasxGucci collection, we spent a few hours with Juanpa Zurita at the Gucci store in Mexico City to create some #content, talk about fashion and realize one very important thing: making video reels for Tik Tok ain’t a easy job.
“I love it! (the collection). I think it’s a disruptive collaboration, something we haven’t seen in a long time. It’s something we didn’t know we needed until we saw it. It’s truly amazing! Each brand involved did their best to achieve one the coolest collaborations ever made. The designs, the colors, each one of the pieces, and the fusion created with both is spectacular. Unpredictable but incredible. “

DT: One’s style is something that comes together with time. It evolves. Fashion is definitely a very important part of your career. What’s the most interesting lesson that fashion has brought into your life?
JPZ: Definitely! With no question, that lesson is that the only constant thing is change. And just like fashion, I’m always trying to evolve; looking for new inspirations, trying to get out of my comfort zone. Fashion is the perfect reflection.
DT: Through the years, many of the Adidas Originals sneakers have become streetwear icons. Do you have any favorite ones?
JPZ: To be honest, I’m a fan of all of the Adidas sneakers, but I think Forum ones are my favorite. They’re a versatile classic. They work with every kind of outfit. From something very formal to everyday life. They’re for someone who is constantly moving. They’re perfect.
DT: From this new collection between Gucci and Adidas Originals, which would you says are your favorite and why?
JPZ: 1) Gazelle Shoes: They’re a basic style that go with everything. Their silhouette is perfect as well as their color. They carry the #adidasxGucci essence without being obvious.
JPZ: 2) Bucket Hat: I definitely think we all need a bucket hat. This one has the ideal colors that go with any look.
JPZ: 3) Purple jacket: This is definitely my favorite one. You put it over something and there you have it, a look! Made to shine over anything.
