Time changes, societies evolve and technological advances take place. Besides being an effective way of communication, smartphones have become an addition part to de human body, capable of capturing and creating the magic and diversity of Planet Earth.

Thinking about this, Huawei Devices LATAM presented the Latinoamérica en la lente project; an exhibition that consisted of 20 photographers from all around Mexico and Latin America, who demonstrated the wonders that the new smartphones Huawei P9 and P9 Plus are able to do. The dual camera, co-created with the German manufacturer Leica, allows one of its sensors to capture native monochrome photographs, while the other sensor, RGB, captures the vivid colors that are characteristic of the Leica cameras.

This way photography through the cellphone can transport us to another dimension. Now, we have the ability to capture the sharpest detail and the most striking color at any moment in our day.

In addition to the Latinoamérica en la lente exhibition, a book consisting of 106 images captured by the 20 photographers was launched. It featured photojournalists and social observers like Hector Vivas and Alejandro Saldivar, fashion photographers like Allan Fis, Jvdas Berra, Luis de la Luz, Dan Crosby, Karla Lisker and Alex Cordova, cinematographers like Carlos Hidalgo and landscapers like Christian Sanchez.
